Family Pathway Class is an hour of psychoeducation each week, allowing you to learn more deeply about the therapeutic foundations of treatment at Open Sky. The weekly class is conducted through a video call, provided in a small-group format to currently enrolled parents in each population (Girls, Boys, Young Adults), and led by members of the Clinical and Family Services Teams. These classes take place each week on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. MT. They are packed full of tips and tools, research, examples, vignettes from the field, role-playing, tangible practice, and resources for further learning. Your Family Care Coordinator will send weekly emails with video-call instructions. Each class includes:
- 10-15 minutes – introductions and grounding exercises;
- 20-30 minutes – skill-building video presented by one of our primary clinicians;
- 20-25 minutes – small-group discussions, processing and Q & A, facilitated by a therapist.
The 10-week rotation allows you to participate in all of the topics during your child’s stay at Open Sky. At each class, the lead facilitator will provide direction on the class agenda and content. Parents watch videos together followed by small-group discussion and processing. The videos are accessible to you prior to class or for follow up viewing. We will notify you as new content is added.

The above webinar videos are the core topics of our Family Pathway Class. Beyond the Family Pathway Class resources, Open Sky maintains an archive of older-format webinars that provide additional psychoeducational and program-related content you may find valuable and/or your Primary Therapist may recommend viewing. We are in the process of updating these older format webinar videos but have made them available for your use in the interim.
